MONTE ROSA

The MONTE ROSA view from Milan and his famous 4000's peaks during a clear fall day.The Monte Rosa is located between Italy and switzerland in the Pennine Alps,is second highest mountain of the Alps and in Europe.From left the main peaks are WEST LYSKAMM,PARROT,SIGNALKUPPE or PUNTA GNIFFETTI,ZUMSTEIN,DUFOUR(highest peak in the group 4.634 metres)and the last NORDEND.

PORTA GARIBALDI

Porta Garibaldi,previously called PORTA COMASINA is one of the city gates.Originally placed in the ancient way to reach the city of Como.Now inside the city,Porta Garibaldi district taken the name from it.The neoclassical arch was made to commemorate the visit of FRANCIS I OF AUSTRIA.During the 5 DAYS OF MILAN to catch away the Austrian domination it was the 2nd door conquered by insurgents after PORTA TOSA.In 1859 Garibaldi after the battles of San Fermo(closer to Como) and Varese entered in the city passing by,in 1860 the door was dedicated to him.The inscription to Francis I of Austria was replaced with another nowdays visible:"Here in the footsteps of the enemy name,the iron of the Italic youth recorded the como's victories".

RENEWED ARCHITECTURE

A renewed architeture in the part of the city called BORGO DEI TINTORI taken from the original as it was at the begin of the century.This is simply perfect example of style and design.If i look the aborts made during the last 10 years in the city with new towers,buildings,and modern architecture only good to kill the city skyline.Look how much this houses give you a sense of peace and are in harmony with the surrounding natural elements.

MICKEY MOUSE

After posting a real well made SPIDERMAN GRAFFITI i see this one is another from a real artist,i find this cool MICKEY MOUSE on the wall.

LA MARTESANA

Here's one of the part of the city i prefer called NAVIGLIO MARTESANA in every season going with the bycicle,is just in the city but seems to be away,sad today the little channel is empty for cleaning reasons.

SBB CFF FFS

The SBB CFF FFS high speed tilt train also called EUROSTAR TRAIN go out from the city for the daily passengers service between Italy and Switzerland with new Milan skyline in the background.

INSURANCE HEADQUARTER

Another new useless buildings with a park around for the INSURANCE COMPANY.

MONVISO

Sunset over the MONVISO,the little pyramid in the center,more than 300 kilometers(150miles)far from Milan.Located in the Cottian alps closer to the French border and also known as The Stone King.Headwater of the PO,longest italian river.

CLOCK TOWER

What time is it?simply,looking the clock tower from PALAZZO DEI GIUEROCUNSULTI five past eleven.

PALAZZO MARINO

PALAZZO MARINO at night,now the city hall XV century.Commssioned by the a rich banker from Genova Tommaso Marino.It was finished in 1892 by the architect Luca Beltrami.There're two long sad stories on this palace,one of the most beautiful in the city,now is too long to tell you.

LINE NR 5

Underground LINE 5 one of the four in the city,the others are 1(red line),2(green line),3(yellow line),this is called by locals "LILAC LINE",from the layout color.It's a driverless train line,entered in service on february the 10th 2013, with 7 stops from the part of the city called Bignami to Zara.The second part is planned to be open in 2014,may be,and the last from 2015.

Modern chairs placed outside modern offices.May be for the workers before going to their job sitting? drinking cappuccino?coffee?cup of tea?during winter when there are 10 degrees under zero freezing,or in summer with 40 degrees over zero bakin on these chairs made by stone,that's hilarious.

DON'T LET THE SUN

Don't let the sun go down without take a picture.Sometimes i think all the pictures i take.My favourites are these kind of shots.The sunset from an high city deck looking around the city seeing the ALPS.The plus for Milan is not the skyline or beeing in the PIANURA PADANA.The plus is beeing surrounded from north by one of the most beautiful and famous mounatin chains all over,THE ALPS.On the left ,over the city shadows you can see  the sunset falling on the WEISSMIES and LAGGINHORN( officially listed in the 4000's of the alps by U.I.A.A.)and the FLETSCHHORN located in the PENNINE ALPS in switzerland.

CITY LIFE

New part of the city called CITY LIFE designed by architects ARATA ISOZAKI,DANIEL LIBESKIND and ZAHA HADID.Started in 2011 and works are expetcetd to end for 2014,this is the residential part finished and designed by Zaha hadid.I can't undertsand how somebody  have studied a lot to made this kind of disgusting architectures and with no sense of style.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL

Final games day to designate 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th place for EUROPEAN AMERICAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2013.Winner is Denmark,2nd place for the national Italian team(BLUE TEAM).£rd place went to GREAT BRITAIN,4th CZECH REPUBLIC.The DANISH NATIONAL TEAM was the best with the better defensive,offensive tournament players and game strategy,consequently get the title.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL

Finally the european american football championship is here.Hosted inside the new restored stadium VELODROMO VIGORELLI.Yesterday match was Denmark vs Czech Repubblic.The football championship EURO 2103.Among the sponsor the NFL need to be mentioned.Who's the next champion for saturday final game day?Italy,Czech RRepubblic,Denmark,Great Britain,Serbia or Spain?
