PIAZZA SAN FEDELE

Piazza San Fedele back to PALAZZO MARINO(1557-1563)today the cityhall and in front of SAN FEDELE CHURC.Why the statue of the famous Italian poet ALESSANDRO MANZONI(1785-1873) from the BETROTHED was here?Simply.He fell on 6 January 1873 due to the icing stairs from the church,hitting his head.Died after six month on May 22nd 1873,due to a complication of the fall.

ALFA ROMEO 1900 C52

June 24th,1910 ALFA(Anonymous Lombard Factory Atuomaker)was founded in Milan.here's one of the many dreaming and inovative cars produced by Milanese manufacturer,ALFA ROMEO FLYING SAUCER also as 1900 C52 form 1952 to 1953 in the spider version in collaboration with the famous Milanese coachbuilder TOURING.In August 1915 the company was bought by neapolitan engineer NICOLA ROMEO,so the second word was added to the brand.ALFA ROMEO is one of the most winning race car manufacturer ever(first Formula 1 world champion in 1950 with NINO FARINA).The automaker is famous not only to made unforgettable high end dreaming limited expensive cars.Is the first to intoruduce on a "normal" road cars innovation technology from his racing experience adopted today by others big players automakers.Some example,ALFA ROMEO first to introduce TWIN SPARK,TWIN CAM,FUEL INJECTION,50%-50% weight distribution,COMMON RAIL DIESEL ENGINE,AUTOMATED ROBOTIC SHIFT on the steering wheel and many others to long the list.When ALFA ROMEO won worlwide races and was just a legend others famous automakers as FERRARI,PORSCHE,LAMBORGHINI,CHEVROLET,LOTUS,MCLAREN was not yet founded,so if i've to take the copy,i'll get for the original.Today the new brand museum was opened in the city,you can see all the cars made by the brand,archives,history,dont forget to visit if you're in Milan.

MEDIOLANUM

One of the supposed legends to origin of the city name is the emblem of Milan.THE HALF BOAR FEMALE.One located inside PALAZZO MARINO and the other on PALAZZO DELLA RAGIONE arch.Legend by latin LIVY,in the 6th century BC Celtic king AMBICATUS OR AMBIGATUS sent his two parents round to colonize new lands.One of the parents,BELLOVESUS had a vision,a female boar with a long haired fur.The CELTS considered the female boar a sacred animal,not a noble beast as the wolf,lion,eagle.The CELTS interpreted the vision as good auspicius to found a new city.They naming the city probably Medhe-lan,in GAELIC middle land.Later evovled into latin MEDIOLANUM(half woolen).

SAINT BARTHOLOMEW APOSTOLE

SAINT BARTHOLOMEW APOSTOLE(1562)inside the city cathedral by MARCO D'AGRATE one of the disciple of LEONARDO DA VINCI.Story say that the martyrdom of Bartholomew was skinned live.The citizens of milan nicknamed this sculpture "the martyr of the tax payer".

LEONARDO'S HORSE(1482-1493)

THE MADONNINA

THE LITTLE BEAUTIFUL MADONNINA inside the EXPO2015 is the same on the highest spire of the DUOMO DI MILANO(1386) but is not gold.Is the only chance you've to be very closer to her.You can find it at the VENERANDA FABBRICA DEL DUOMO pavilion terrace located at Fiorenza gate side.Don't forget to visit even the pavilion inside where you can see how the DUOMO DI MILANO(1386) was made and his history.No other landamark in the city symbolized Milano worlwide and for the citizens.

VILLA MIRABELLO

VILLA MIRABELLO (XV century).Originally built fot the Mirabello Family as hunting house.The villa was bought in 1455 descent by DANTE and BEATRICE nobleman PIGELLO PORTINARI who was in Milan to follow the MEDICI family affairs.Even LUDOVICO IL MORO brief stayed in this villa.
