It was built for replace the three years long renovation of TEATRO ALLA SCALA (est.1778).TEATRO DEGLI ARCIMBOLDI (1997-2002) was inaugurated on 19,january,2002 with the opera of the genius GIUSEPPE VERDI's (1813-1901) La Traviata.
